My name is Jack Wallsten. 

I live in Stockholm and shoot mainly street photography, pictures of my beautiful girlfriend or sights from my balcony in Örnsberg, a southern suburb of Stockholm. I'm on Flickr.

I'm a professional videographer and editor that want to improve as a photographer. I believe that no matter what skills you inhabit you are never too experienced to become better or to discover something new about yourself. 

Author Kurt Vonnegut called it "experience becoming". 

In 2006, a group of students at Xavier High School in New York City were given an assignment by their English teacher, Ms. Lockwood. They were asked to write to their favorite author and ask him or her to visit the school. Five of those pupils chose Kurt Vonnegut. His reply was the only response the class received.

Here's a short excerpt:

"Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what's inside you, to make your soul grow".

I like that story and I hope to communicate some of what's inside me in the pictures I take.
